Do I need to undress completely?
You only need to undress to your personal comfort level. Some clients fully undress, while others prefer to leave on underwear or clothing items, and either is completely okay. You will always be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. My priority is that you feel comfortable, respected, and safe throughout your session. I’ll step out of the room while you get settled on the table, and we can adjust anything as needed.
Will massage hurt?
Massage should not feel painful. You may feel some gentle pressure, tenderness, or a “good hurt” in areas of tension, but it should always feel manageable and safe. I’ll check in with you about pressure, and you are welcome to speak up at any time if something feels too intense or uncomfortable. Your body responds best when it can relax, so we’ll work at a pace and pressure that feels right for you.
How often should I get a massage?
How often you receive massage depends on your goals, your body’s needs, and your budget. If you’re coming in for general relaxation or stress management, once a month can be a great place to start. If you’re working through ongoing tension, soreness, or a specific area of discomfort, you may benefit from sessions every 2–3 weeks for a period of time. We can talk about what you’re hoping to get out of massage and choose a schedule that feels realistic and supportive for you.
What if I fall asleep?
That is completely okay and very common. Falling asleep during a massage usually means your body feels safe enough to relax. You do not need to stay awake or hold a conversation during your session. I’ll continue the massage and make sure you are comfortable, properly draped, and cared for throughout the entire appointment. At the end of your session, I’ll gently wake you and give you time to get up slowly.
Can I talk during the massage?
You are welcome to talk during your massage if that helps you feel comfortable. However, many clients get the most out of their session by allowing themselves to rest quietly, relax, and stay connected to how their body is responding to the treatment. You do not need to make conversation. My Rhythm & the Echo massage is designed for deep, quiet relaxation, so I’ll keep check-ins simple and intentional to help you fully settle into the session.
What should I do after my massage?
After your massage, it’s best to take your time getting up, drink water, and allow your body to ease back into the rest of your day. You may feel relaxed, sleepy, or even a little tender in areas that received focused work. Gentle movement, a warm shower, and rest can be helpful. I also recommend noticing how your body feels over the next day or two so we can adjust your future sessions based on how you respond.
Can massage help with stress?
Yes, massage can be a helpful support for stress management and may also support better sleep for some clients. A slower, intentional massage gives your body time to settle, breathe, and shift out of a more tense or guarded state. Research suggests massage may help improve relaxation and sleep quality, especially when stress, discomfort, or nervous system tension are affecting rest. Many clients notice they feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to their body after a session. My goal is to create a quiet, supportive space where your nervous system can relax and your body can receive care.
Is cupping included?
Yes, cupping may be included as part of your massage treatment upon request at no extra charge. Before adding cupping, we’ll talk about your comfort level, goals, and whether it feels appropriate for your session that day. For informed consent, cupping may leave temporary marks on the skin. These marks are not bruises in the same way an injury bruise is, are generally not harmful, and usually fade gradually over several days. You are always welcome to ask questions or decline cupping at any time.
Professional technique using gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on releasing tension in the body's connective tissue (fascia). Using slow, sustained pressure and stretching techniques, this treatment helps improve mobility, reduce pain and stiffness, and restore ease of movement. Unlike a traditional massage, MFR works with the body's natural tissue response rather than using deep pressure or oils.
What clients can expect:
This treatment uses slow, sustained pressure rather than continuous massage strokes.
You may notice gentle stretching or a mild pulling sensation as restricted tissues begin to release.
Many clients leave feeling looser, lighter, and able to move more comfortably.
Unlike studio-based stretch routines, this session is performed by a licensed massage therapist and may include gentle soft tissue techniques to complement assisted stretching. Each session is fully customized based on how your muscles and fascia respond in real time, creating a more therapeutic and individualized approach to mobility and release.
What clients can expect:
A restorative, massage therapist-assisted session designed to gently lengthen tight muscles, improve mobility, and ease areas of stiffness.
Using slow, guided stretching techniques and supportive positioning, this treatment helps the body move more freely while encouraging deep relaxation and release.
This is a soft tissue and mobility service, not physical therapy or chiropractic care.
Continuous Motion Cupping Massage combines massage techniques with gliding silicone cups that move smoothly across the skin. The continuous movement creates a gentle lifting effect while helping to release muscle tension, encourage healthy circulation, support lymphatic flow, and leave the body feeling relaxed and refreshed. This technique is generally less likely to leave noticeable cupping marks than stationary cupping.
What clients can expect:
Cups glide continuously over the skin with massage oil or lotion.
Feels like a flowing massage with gentle lifting.
Ideal for general muscle tension, relaxation, and circulation.
Usually leaves little or no marking.
Stationary Cupping Massage uses silicone or traditional cups placed on specific areas of the body and left in place for several minutes. The gentle suction lifts the underlying tissues, helping to ease muscle tension, encourage circulation, and promote deep relaxation. This treatment is especially beneficial for areas of persistent tightness and trigger points. Temporary circular marks may occur and usually fade within several days.
What clients can expect:
Cups remain in one spot for several minutes.
Provides sustained decompression on specific tight areas.
Ideal for stubborn knots, trigger points, and localized tension.
May leave temporary circular marks.
